I placed this class of Senior does 3 and under 4 years of age as:

E-D-A-B-F-G-C

All these ladies are very lovely and I bet they are all great milkers! But Entry E is awarded Best Udder in this tight competition.  Her udder is high round and capacious,  balanced when viewed from the side and rear, clearly seen lateral attachments with a good medial suspensory ligament, and cylinder shaped teats that point downward.

Entry E places over Entry D in General Appearance her topline is more level, longer in bone, better angulation of the rear legs when viewed from the side and a more ideal slope from hips to pins.  In the Mammary System when viewed from the rear she has an advantage in balance in the udder halves and when viewed from the side she has more extension to her fore udder.

Entry D over Entry A.  Both of these does are very Dairy in appearance with beautiful breed character, very nice.  However, Entry D has the advantage in her Mammary System when viewed from the rear she has good uniformity from the top and base of her udder, and her udder floor is carried higher above the hocks.

Entry A over B in General Appearance she is wider in the chest floor and when viewed from the rear is wider from hips to pins, toes pointing forward and in Body Capacity she is deeper in the barrel.  In the Mammary System she shows a stronger medial suspensory ligament and teats that are more clearly delineated from the udder.

Entry B over Entry F in General Appearance she is stronger and more level in her topline especially in the chine and has more extension to her brisket.  In Body Capacity she is deeper in the heart girth.  In the Mammary System she has a more capacious udder with more extension to the fore udder.

Entry F over Entry G in General Appearance is wider between the fore legs and between the pin bones.  In the Mammary System her udder is higher and more rounded in the escutcheon area and when viewed from the side is more balanced in the udder thirds.  Entry F does grant to Entry G a smoother front end assembly especially at the shoulder.

Entry G over Entry C in Dairy Character she shows clear dairy wedges when viewed from the side and the top.  In General Appearance she is longer in bone with more extension of her brisket and depth to her rump.  In the Mammary System she has clearer lateral attachments with teats of a more proper length and diameter.

Entry C although standing last in the class in General Appearance she shows good breed character for a 1st generation and is higher at the withers in her topline.  In the Mammary System she has a good medial suspensory ligament with good teat placement.

Placing: D, E (1st udder), F, A, G, C, B

D is placing over E for the advantage in general appearance head and breed characteristics. She has a more appropriate set and shape to ears. She is stronger in the nose and jaw. She will yield strength in the mammary system to E, and E will be first place udder.

It is that strength in the mammary that places E over F. She is higher arched into the escutcheon, fuller at the top of the rear udder that is more balanced to the udder floor. She also has the advantage in general appearance being smoother on her top line, longer and stronger in the loin and rump. More nearly level from hips to pins.

F is placing over A in her turn for the mammary system. She is showing more overall area of attachment in the rear udder and more balanced in the thirds when viewed from the side. F also has the advantage in dairy strength showing we're incurving the thigh when viewed from the side and more angulation to the rear leg set.

A is placing over G for general appearance in back, she is stronger in the chine and wider though the loin. She also has the advantage in body capacity being deeper in the heart girth, wider in the chest floor and has more increasing depth to the rear barrel.

G then places over C for her advantage in the mammary system, she is showing more arch and height into the escutcheon more fullness and attachments in the rear udder when viewed from the rear and side.

C is placing over B for general appearance of head and breed character.  She has a more correct shape to the ear and bridge of nose more defining of the breed. She also has the advantage in dairy strength having a longer more angular bone pattern. She is yielding in capacity to B. It is that capacity and shape of mammary that she should be commended for in this class.
